You have to admit for all his faults he does have a habit of scoring and in the end that's all that counts (provided you don't give up too many).

I can see some people on here not happy with that statement.

Sorry Knocker, gladly the Club value the player far more than you do

Full of heart, running and desire. That's never been in question. Trouble is he concedes possession cheaply which gets found out at PL level. As Stainrod says, all his best performances have been as impact sub. We now have better options in Hoillet and Park. True he does have a good eye for goal but he's said himself that striker is his preferred position - unfortunately for him though we already have an wealth of talent in that position.

I realise this isn't what people want to hear as he is such a popular player but MH picks the team not TF. Let's hope he carrys on proving his critics wrong but on today's evidence against a very poor oppo I still can't see it. SWP on the other hand played 10 times better - yet another option for RW.

The same could be said about Adel, but no one says it, they just slate poor old Jamie, even though he had much better stats.

I thought he still looked one-dimensional and average at best on the wing.

However, he looked pretty decent when he moved into the middle of the park - had a really nice touch.

Whether that was because he was taller than most of the opposition is a different matter.............

I had no intention of falling over but I did....no intentions does not mean no sale.

Sell him, tries hard, scored a few but most of the time a waste of space.

Taarabt is in a totally different league to Mackie. Hate to say it but its true.

You're right Paul, some people find every opportunity to slate one player, and find it very difficult to offer any praise at all, regardless of reality.

It's usually best to just ignore their opinion.....

He may be in a totally different leage in your oppinion, but the stats dont lie and JM has better stats than Adel in the PL. With Hoilet ?, Park and AJ signing, I cant see either starting many games anyway.

Making adel no10 and won't be starting many games?.......

Making should only be used as a impact sub that is it that is what he is good at. Starting him is a waste he needs to come on when the lb is tiring .
