Andy Marshall signs for Villa

I think he chose Villa because he won't have to move house. He lives in the Midlands. I believe he has a young family so maybe uprooting the family for a 1 year contract isn't that appealing if you're going to have to look to move again in 12 months time.

Career-wise, he is on the decline anyway. Either way, it was always likely to be reserve team football for him.

I'm not puzzled by his decision at all. I'm sure there are plenty more options available and we'll sign a backup goalie before the end of the month.
