basically he has signed the contract, but the club cant annouce him yet as he doesnt have a solid permit, so once his permit is all good, then he will be announced, as far as i know he is as good as ours.

Another bit of info any rumours about signings coming up and ********, our attention is fully on signing hoilett at the moment then we will engage in more talks.

I shouldn't think there'll be a problem anyway. The government is dishing out work permits to chefs, taxi drivers and car cleaners, so it should be quite easy for an EPL player to get one
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

We've got it all wrong, the reason hoilett needs a work permit is because he is a free agent and is not signed to a club therefore he does not work, so he needs a permit, because he is signing for a new club!

wasnt enough for us to sign a player who was a brazil u21 international though. i agree we should get round this - just saying its not a complete formality imho.

Laughable given the current situation in this country.

I think it is different for somebody who is already playing here as it is considered a renewal.

The only reason he needs it because he is a free agent if he was contracted for blackburn we wouldnt be going thru this

i think it take a bit longer because junior hoilett don't play for his country which make it harder to get a permit, he's cant get special treatment because he's a footballer. He got to go though check like every non-european do by wanting to come and work here. He's already been in this country for a good few years so it shouldn't be anything to worry about.

fair enough mate, guess im just grasping at straws now lol.

But am sure he has signed some sort of pre contract agreement subject to this pain in the #### permit. in other words, no club can poach him from us now unless we rip up that agreement. remember, we have very shrewd bussniess people running the club now

I really don't think there is anything to worry about. It might just take a little time. Remember the Olympics are going on and there is talk of a strike of public workers, so it might take a bit longer than it usually does to dot the i's and cross the t's.
