I also have "links" within the construction industry and have not heard a single whisper about the proposed new ground being at the Christie Stadium and because of the line of work I am in I can assure you that this is kind of project is something we keep a strong look out for

We supplied all the blocks etc for the new Wembley and Southamptons new ground plus the Westfield Centres in White City and also Stratford and so this kind of project is something we specialise in

Pure specualtion at this point

me too isleworth,i was on the project from the start at st marys,wembley & westfield supplying all the ppe and site consumables and we have not heard about any plans for this site.

Won't work at this site.and if anybody will move there it will be chelsea as they put money into doing up that site a few years ago,and am sure H&F wouldn't want to **** them off by letting us move there.Tbh am being told ourselves and chelsea are fighting for old oak common,but Chelsea are more likely to get that site and we'll probably end up at the Kensal gasworks.Also if you go on Ken&Chelsea website search for Kensal,it tells you they had a meeting a few weeks ago regarding the Kensal site,and one of the matters they discussed was moving us there.come on u r'sss!!!

Not footy related...I used to take doggy for walkies around the scrubs back in the early 70s and met a great old dear who loved telling old time stories to whoever would listen. Drive into the big carpark and on the right is a tall wall with columns.
He tells me that POW and AWLS used to get shot at the columns years ago..sensing that I thought he was BS he took me over there and showed me the bullet holes on the walls. He lifted a patch of overgrown shrub on the ground and showed me a small concrete ditch which ran all the way down....he called it the blood run.....scary !!
I suppose we could use it for Chelski fans !

couldnt see the bit about qpr but if you open the options and issues pdf it shows where it is.
top of ladbroke grove by sainsburys....i see it nearly every day and had no idea it was kensal gasworks.....
not sure its big enough...not sure of access...but it sure is close to the original home of qpr in 1882.....

Where in Old Oak Common as that area is going to be a major hub for HS2 from 2018

The station is the major attraction why ourselves and chelsea want to go there.Not sure where exactly but that site isn't much smaller than the olympic park.

It says it was mentioned, and only as part off discussion about a sporting venue. Means very little, as far as I can tell.

i know what you mean regarding the chelski fans.i didn't think it would work at kensal green until i found out it was 67 acres and coventry's ground was built on former gasworks.i think it might just work.i take it your a kensal green or ladbroke grove boy then qpr71?

yes i am...but i thought they meant more up kensal rise for kensal gas works......just by the name.......
if its big enough......access may be acheived by a bridge from harrow road..ie: of the westway up scrubs lane...down harrow road
and a big bridge across the cemetary....last bit could be tricky!!!!!

it wil be a good experiment to watch if they move there....to see if there is fan rebelion....dont get me wrong , i have a sporting rivalry with chelski and love all the jokes
but i hope it does work for them as we need cfc to be strong for the league for london etc etc..still wouldnt be happy if i was a kings road chelsea fan though!!
