    Team: Shaw, MacDonald, Pullen, Whyman, Mitchell, Wake, Smith (A.R.), Revill, McKie, Thornton, Barnes As Southern League champions again in 1912, Rangers were invited to play in another Charity Shield match. This time they met the Football League champions Blackburn Rovers at White Hart Lane on 4th May, 1912. The match was played in continuous rain and only 7,111 attended the game due mainly to the poor weather conditions.
