Yeah, I'll most probably be there.

By the way, you'll be able to get a "Bayern-Ticket", or words to those effect. What this means is that you basically get unlimited travel in the whole of the Bayern region (which is massive) for the day for quite a cheap amount - I think the price for 2 people for unlimited travel on the train is 25 euros.

Couple of important bits of info if you buy a Bayern Ticket though:
      - You can't travel on Inter City or Inter City Express trains using the ticket.
      - You have to write the names of everyone traveling on the ticket on the ticket itself.

skyscanner.net is the best place to check flights to and from München.

I've been living in Munich for 18 months now, so am particularly excited about this one. If anyone needs any help organising their trip just let me know.

Nothing from Rangers yet on the kick off time or tickets or details of the game on August 4th. I guess they've been focused on the games in Asia until now.

The kick off at Augsburg on Sat 11th August is 3.30pm local time - from the Augsburg site:

Dress rehearsal against Queens Park Rangers
            13:07:12

The FC Augsburg has another friendly match before the competitive game starting on Friday 17 August (20.00 clock) in the DFB Cup with SV Wilhelmshaven with an attractive international opponents agreed. The team coached by Mark Weinzierl occurs on Saturday 11 August (15.30 clock) against English Premier League club Queens Park Rangers at. This game is played in the DL arena.

For more information, such as ticket prices for this dress rehearsal will be published shortly in a separate message.

Terrace tickets for Augsburg league games are only 13 euros so with a bit of luck they will be even cheaper than that for a friendly

Fan of German football on the whole, more than one particular team to be honest.

Going to a 2. Bundesliga game the day after we play Augsburg, and then the Super Cup between Bayern Munich and Dortmund that evening.

                Looking forward to it.

Yeah, it's the cheapest way to travel if you're not on your own.

You should be able to grab one from the ticket machines at the station - don't forget to stick your name on it though, because German ticket inspectors can be right jobsworths.

Just had a look at kids prices, and it says, from what I can make out, that under 15's can travel for free.

Bayern have already sold out all of their home games for the forthcoming season - tickets are tough to get hold of at face value but if you're prepared to pay premium prices (100 EUR upwards) you'll get a ticket outside the ground or maybe on Marienplatz in the city centre from a tout or even a fan selling a spare. There are also a couple of re-sale websites that offer tickets too - I've used Seatwave before.

As always, I come in peace.

I live mere minutes away from the SGL Arena, so if you need to know anything, please just ask.

I may even go to this game - wearing a City shirt, naturally ;-)
