That is why I find it strange that some people on here have been so hysterical about Terry, yet think abusing Jews and calling Welch Sheep Sh@ggers is totally fine. They will clearly say the fact it is Terry and Chelsea have nothing to do with their hysteria.
Thanks Silver well i didn't know that, the bit about colour and national identity is both a race issue.Seems wrong to me it should be one or the other, all this does is tell me that black people like Rio who has represented this country at football despises white people, and uses the term white or choc ice as an insult.
I think the gov are just suppressing freedom of speech, btw Rio has come out this morning and said it's a slang term....................yeah right Rio, racist!

That's still a term about being subservient and "helping" the whites and is still an insult, to be associated to whites. But the term he used was Choc ice which means dark on the outside and white on the inside which to black people is an insult.

Dave, Rio laughed that someone else called Cashley a choc ice, he just tweeted "hahahaha choc ice! good one".

Uncle Tom just means a traitor, someone who switches sides when it suits their purpose. It's been used on Family Guy, it's not just about colour.

Nobody with a modicum of common sense will involve themselves in this utterly childish nonsense.
These men have to be told to sort their differences out in a manly way.
            Choc ice, ffs!
I tend to laugh when I hear playground taunts like that, not scream for a Copper.

It originates from the blacks during the times of slavery, and is an insult from one black to another, Rio has taken the tweet down so i'd say someone had a word.I realise he didn't say it but by putting it up and laughing says he endorsed the insult.Love family guy myself Will but surely you're not holding that show up as a good moral compass with some of the things they say.

i agree bush but it highlights the mess this country is in, when any reference to being white is an insult used openly between blacks, yet white citizens are told Ba ba black sheep is banned for being racially unacceptable.

Thing is, you're putting words in Rio's mouth that he hasn't said Dave. His tweet just came on SSN a bit ago, and he said to him choc-ice is someone being fake. Or like I said, an Uncle Tom.

Eh, not saying Family Guy is a moral compass. Just using it as an example of it being used in popular culture. Another one would be where Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer calls Angel an Uncle Tom for helping humans.

probably for the same reason that terry didn't call anton a "f*****g white c***."

Hi i'm back been Tescos. Will you said yourself it's being a traitor.....and in this case Rio obviously means a traitor to their race. Now it's been said countless times we are all together one race English.Yet it is still an insult for a black person to call another an uncle tom, or in this case a choc ice, because of the implication of colour. It would be similar to me laughing and endorsing some one calling a white person married to a black person a liquorice lover because of the colour, and that wouldn't be stood for would it.
I'm just saying that the freedom to use words and phrases in this country is not equal, between our one race

Can't be bothered reading all this thread as I'm utterly bored with the whole saga but I have a quick question.

If when we play Chelsh!t next season am I allowed to roar 'Choc Ice choc ice' at Rat king cole or is that racist?

Blimey!!!...good question! I would say surely you can. Apart from anything else Rio says it's not racist. If you're white i don't see how you can be racist because being white is not racist to you....and all you would be chanting in effect is Ashley Cole you and i are the same. Don't quote me on that though.

If you are white, yes, but if you are black, no.

Could you imagine the reaction if Joey Barton called Cole a choc ice (brown on the outside but white in the middle)

How is it obvious? Ashley Cole is supposed to be mates with Anton and Rio, isn't that being a traitor? Stabbing your mates in the back? To me the guy is putting the boot into a Chelsea player with a bit of banter. and he's doing it in defence of an R, his brother to boot. Course i'm going to back him, not sure why you're slating him?

Dave, I hear what you're saying. And PC nonsense is just that. But don't join into their ********, expose it for the sham it is

My grandpa always said, call a spade a spade. That by some is seen as racist. I still use the term though. Life's too short. Just hate people deliberately changing what someone says to make it sound bad. It's not right for whites, and not alright for anyone else either.
