Don't get me wrong. It is a great time to be a Rangers fan. How we are at the moment is perfect. It's more the future that is a concern to me. Im just a bit worried about where these extra 25000 supporters are coming from. We spend a lot of time on here ripping Fulham for their tourist fans etc. Are we not heading in the same direction? Im all for success and growth, I just hope its done in the right way.

TF is quoted as saying we could've sold 20k season tickets this season. Members must be at least 5k. Away fans at a lot of games will number 10k. Add 5k for fans that aren't either members or season ticket holders, people that dont have a lot of money to attend games at present because of financial hardship, and you're left with 5k for the tourists and expansion, around 11%.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

We will attract new fans dan, who will be proper fans not just tourists. If we can get a little success then you'll see kids with QPR tops not just the usual Arsenal , Man Utd ones. I think the fans you talk about constantly questioning you about Barton/spending, is plain and simple envy, all the fans i found that make the noise about us going into admin, etc are fans of clubs like Norwich/Fulham/Sunderland etc, clubs that know we are a threat to them directly, i don't hear the top sides going on about it to us. These fans are almost trying to console themselves with the thought that it will go wrong for us, and at least their club will be around in 5 years etc
Bottom line they would love to have our owners, and feel the excitement we are feeling right now.

Apart from the n0nce statue, we mainly rip into Fulham because they only have a couple of hundred supporters at most away games........ we had more than their average at Bodmin.....

There will always be a deep latent support at our club - but expansion, and a drive towards sustainability will always bring an element of "dilution" if you like. Every half decent PL club has experienced it.

Personally I welcome these changes and I welcome new fans. Unlike those twonks in the cottage we have a soul that is very evident every week at Loftus Road. Because of that I firmly believe that any new fan or "tourist" will get the bug PDQ and be Rangers for the rest of their lives....... What's so bad about that?

I even saw Lr transformed from a 1920's stadium in that time

Then how does he explain that first season back in the big league we only sold our home allocation for a few games and most of them at the end of the season except for Chelsea.

We are still a small club - OP don't worry.

You'll have to ask him my friend, I'm only telling you what he said.

Perhaps we need to get away from this small club mentality and think big.

I am not bothered TBH. Growth ios good, but if we stayed at LR and made it better would not bother me either.

I don't aim this at every fan or anyone in particular on this site as im sure a fair few of you feel the same, I remember being at Mansfield away when we won 4-0, Rushden & Diamonds away when we drew 3-3 and Ainsworth scored them two screamers, i remember being at Loftus Road when we were only get 12,000 every week, i remember being able to buy a match ticket on the morning of games! Where have all these fans come from since we started doing well? it's a shame, the majority of us stuck by rangers when we was having a rough time... But since all these so called fans have appeared i bet there are a few proper rangers fans who was with us when we weren't doing well who can't get down rangers now or cant even get a match ticket.
