Sorry for putting a downer on all the good news but im not used to QPR trying to go 'global'. I'll take S****horpe away over Old Trafford any day of the week. Im not sure about all these so called fans turning up to our 45 000 stadium. If you loved rangers you would have turned up when we were struggling in league 1. I understand football has become a game of money but I'd rather support my team in the lower leagues with fans who love the club no matter what. Im sick of #####s asking me about Joey Barton and how we are now spending money. Take me back to Gareth Ainsowrth, Gino Padula and Lee Cook.

Well, each to their own, but I'd rather see us expand and grow instead of struggling and dying, because that's what happens. Look further down the leagues and you'll find plenty of clubs in trouble. There's no glory in watching your club die.
Over the years I've watched us go up and down the divisions like many on here. I've seen us almost go to the wall. I've seen us almost merged with another club. Do I want to see my team beat the likes of Chelsea Arsenal and Spurs, or do I want to see my team struggle against the likes of Grimsby or Oldham? No disrespect to those clubs, but I'd rather see us beat the big boys.
I'm all for us becoming bigger and becoming an established EPL club. I don't understand all this heroic stuff about struggling in the lower leagues. We've been there and done that, and it wasn't very nice. Now it's our time for a bit of good fortune.Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

Point being you watch a "small club" and are desperate for them to win every game, but if you don't then want them to go up in the workd and succeed, why do you bother in the first place. The whole concept is a contradiction, unless you go to see them and want them to lose so they retain their lower league status....

I see the OP's point, BUT for me, I'm happier when we are winning. It's a bonus if it's in the Premiership against the best this country has to offer.
Last season we beat, Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs, Liverpool and came SO close against Man City twice. Last time we played S****horpe (and I was there), we lost 4-1

We've played lower league football, we've been played off the pitch in games, but let's be honest, the EPL is the only place to be. Don't know about anyone else, but every game in this division feels like a cup final. It's the most popular league in the world and with the excitement generated it's not difficult to see why.Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

I do think there is something that small clubs do have - and it starts with a solidarity amongst fans that big clubs don't have. I drove down the high street where I live today and saw someone at the cashpoint with a QPR shirt on. To me that is not a common sight where I live and there is an instant bond (in my head anyway) and I know that fans of big clubs do not have that.
I even like all you lot although I spend most of my time here arguing with you.
However, growth is good IMO. Success is good.
But let's not forget. We sold our own home tickets in less than half the games last season - so we are not a big club. It's all plans and talk at the moment. We are still the same QPR we have been for years.
