Hands Up..Who Was Wrong On Gary Borrowdale?

I said at Aldershot that he played well, when some people were saying he was awful (people who quite obviously have never understood football or played proper football - watching a lot of games does not quialify you for football knowledge I'm afraid).
Borrowdale is composed, he can pass, he understands hape well, he seems to have settled in well so far this season. I want to see him against a Routledge type player and see how he copes but he can only do what is asked of him so far.
Conners must NOT play at left back. He is a centre half and maybe can play on right but he should be starting every ame he is fit for in the middle - with the other battling it out to be his central partner.

I hadn't made judgement on him, as I had never seen him play, didn't think I would either. Those that saw him play pre season, said he done Ok. On Saturday I didn't think he put a foot wrong, but he was never really tested. Be interesting to see how he does against better opposition.Opinions are like A******s, everyone has one, but nobody wants to see the other guy's.

I wrote in another thread imo you have 2 options...
You play Connolly RB in place of Ramage and have Borrowdale LB.
OR
You play Connolly LB and keep Ramage at RB.
I really like Ramage, nice lad, but, no time for sentiment i want the strongest defensive back four we can have and imo that means Connolly at RB and keep Borrowdale at LB.
I never wrote Borrowdale off, i allways said he couldnt be written off until he played, and infact the whole Borrowdale jokes got on my nerves.
IMO Connolly is too good to not be played, People may say Stewart looks overweight but a clean sheet last night boads well for his chances, i dont feel comfortable with hall!!!!....
For me (sorry peter)....
RB: Connolly: Too good not to be played.
CB: Stewart: Last years player of yr, and players player, him and Gorkks have a fantastic partnership
CB: Gorkks: Total pro, doesnt panic, clever on the ball, our 1st choice CB.
LB: Borrowdale: our so called "weak link"....Wants to prove himself, had a decent game on sat and by all accounts did last night, deserves a chance.Cant believe it, ive been PWOPER MUGGED ORF...

Was forever told, that the team was being picked by someone else and not the manager, well if thats the case why did Borrowdale never get a game?
You have a nasty habit of doing that.
It was not "ALL fans".
Please try not to speak for everybody, or act as if the members of this website equates to ALL QPR fans... or even a sizeable minority.
I think most fans were confused as to why he was bought and not played, and ridiculed that situation, rather than personaly ridiculing the bloke.

So would you go Ramage at RB, With Connolly at LB or CB, connolly has to be in there somewhere.Cant believe it, ive been PWOPER MUGGED ORF...

LB - Borrowdale
RB - Ramage
CB - Gorkss
CB - Connolly
To Move who IMO is our best CB just to accomodate Stewart or Hall is madness. Sure, when Connolly plays at full back, he usually does well, but I'll be shocked if you feel Stewart is a better option at CB than Matt?
Questions have been answered on Borrowdale. I still don't think he's the answer, but he's proved to be a decent option and the fact he's our only recognised LB warrents him keeping his place. Ramage is a very good defender and dropping him after last weeks performance would be a huge injustice. Hall did nothing to warrent keeping his place so for me he's the only visable casualty.Your mum would love me...

They clearly work well together, so if thats solid why mess around with it.
Going back to Connolly were both agreed he is too good to leave out, but if i was to stick to what i just said then yeah i guess that would mean he would slot in at either right or left back. He's a right footed player so no point in wasteing him on the left, therefor right back is his temp position for now...
Hall and Gorkks are clearly JM CB pair.Cant believe it, ive been PWOPER MUGGED ORF...

To add to that, my point isnt that Stewart is better than Connolly at CB, but with stewart and gorkks at CB were clearly solid enough to be able to move connolly to make us stronger in other areas, areas of witch we might be persieved to be weaker in.Cant believe it, ive been PWOPER MUGGED ORF...
