Notwithstanding what we all know Terry to be, without rock solid evidence to disprove his argument ("repeating an allegation made to him, and dismissing it") this should never have gone to trial in the first place.
In fact you could even argue that thanks to the taxpayer Terry has managed to clear up his image more so than if it had never gone to court at all.
