If we are going to sign Hoilett we actually WANT him to be greedy because we are objectively the smallest, least successful club pursuing him (Reading aside). Apart from money, why would a player choose us over Everton and Newcastle? He owes us no loyalty. The main reason Hoilett (like Barton, SWP etc) would come to us would probably be because we offer the most bunce. Yes, I know players all say how excited they are by our "project" etc and that certainly can't do any harm, but nor can the fact that we are apparently willing to pay higher wages than any other club for mid-level Prem players.

If he signs, then great. If he doesn't I see Everton haven't finalised anything with Pinnear yet - not as young I grant you but back end of last season he was twice as effective for Everton as Hoilett was for Blackburn. So yes, I'd love him to sign but am not going to be putting dark spells on him if he goes elsewhere.

Every time I mention Pieenar People on here respond by telling me we can do better, lol. Hence a good shout from you.

Did people actually read the SSN report.

They can offer him European Champions League football and he has a brother who plays in Germany. He isn't going there for money.

Anyway he is a good player, but not really needed as QPR have Taarabt SWP Cisse Johnson, Mackie Smith who will all be playing in a similar attcaking positions depending on which system QPR play.

Clearly by him not signing shows our owners aren't throwing money around like some would believe.

Remember they are in the Champions League, so it's understandable if he goes there.

Junior Hoilett: Blackburn Rovers to Borussia Mönchengladbach for £6.5mThe Canada winger has held talks with Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool, Everton, Newcastle, Queen's Park Rangers and Reading in recent weeks but the lure of Champions League football has tempted Hoilett to Germany. The 22-year-old played two years on loan in the country earlier in his career and is expected to complete a deal this weekend.

                            That's odd? £6.5m?

Don't think we'd have paid that much, and I thought it would have meant less compo for Blackburn if he went to Europe?

                            Ah well, onwards and upwards.

Just played his part in a losing relegation battle. Next stop is naturally playing Champions League football.

Footballers do make me laugh sometimes.
