I don't think this one will go away just yet.

This morning, Friday, on Talk Sport (I know) they mentioned a suggestion of a rumour that Joey Barton could be leaving QPR for Blackburn.

It would certainly free up monies for a compromise to sign Hoilett.

Just passing on what I heard so don't shoot the messenger.

You didnt get yours nuts wet last night did you, sir?

In reply to your post; yes, in sentiment what youre saynigis true. 99.9% of us would go for the higher paying job beacause money is what we ned to survive, pay mortgages, car payments, take holidays etc, so the 25% increase from, say, being offered 40k a year to 50k a year will make a huge difference to us and our lives. Common sense.

When we're talking about 40k to 50k a week, excluding multi million pound signing on fees, its just pure farking greed in my eyes.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

If he chooses us over Gladbach then you'll know for sure that he is greedy and he is a mercenary. Unfortunately.

I still wouldn't complain though mind...

They were big in the 70s, havent heard much about them since, can somehow recall supporting them as a kid in 77 (I think) when they played Liverpool in the European cup final (when European cups meant something)

Not too bothered if he goes to germany ....would be more disappointed if he joined another Prem team over us (making one of our competitors stronger ) .

Seems to back up what TF was saying the other day .....'Sign for us by such and such a date or F ..k off!'

Onwards and upwards I'm sure MH and the board have others lined up

Spot on. We must have the biggest midfield in the PL: Diakitte, Taarabt, Faurlin, Derry, Barton, Smith, PSJ, Machie, SWP. Our defence need Samba.

So when does greed kick in then? How much should you have to earn for the extra 25% not to be pertinent?

If he can get a better deal for himself elsewhere then good luck to him, persobnally i would do the same. More money and chance to play in the CL

German clubs have a strict wage structure, I am sure Qpr can match whatever Borussia Mönchengladbach willing to pay him.

It just every footballer dream to play in the champions league, he's just going over there to have a chat to get the feel of the club and see if he's might get any regular football out there.

                    Dont dismiss him just yet

when you are already earning more money than you could ever wish to spend and wouldnt need to work another day in your life.

Greed or not, he would get Champions League football and playing in front of huge crowds in an ultra-modern stadium

Going for talks doesn't mean he will sign for then. He's seeing what they have to say and checking facilities etc.

We had talks with Giroud apparently but he didn't join us did he.
