  • Joey Barton

Everyone is entitled to there opinion and Joey is one of them blokes everyone seems to have an opinion on but I just want to say he has my full backing for next season.

I know some think he should leave or not be in the squad but I think that on his day he is as good as anyone we have at the club and with the better players around him next season I expect post ban Joey to be raring to go. I've got a sneaking suspicion that competition for places will only spur Joey on and he will play a very big part for us next season. It could be like have a new player.

    Here's hoping.

Agreed. He has my backing as well. IMO, he deserves one more chance.

Totally agree Spank. Has my backing too.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

            I echo this.

I think we will be MUCH bettrer without him playing. He offered almost nothing last season and some of his performances were disgusting.

He doesn't have my backing at the moment as his behaviour means we are paying him not to play. If he works hard and gets back in the team and actually shows he wants to play for us and performs he will get my backing back then.

Did you stop watching in February?

February?!?!? He played well Vs Arsenal at home on March 31st, then Swansea at home, Tottenham at home and Stoke at home after he was dropped against Liverpool for his nightmare form since August- that's 4 good games. We won't go into WBA away, Chelsea away or City away (where he could have us our Prem status) as he was poor in those too.

Silvercue summed it up perfectly- he needs to earn our backing- he has been a huge let down with one thing after another. Of course I want him to be a big player for us, as I do with anyone that signs for us, but he needs to put a shift in, keep his head down and EARN our respect.

matty - he didn't turn up until he was booed off in Liverpool in March. Which, by the way was the worst I have ever seen a QPR player perform at LR - especially loved him laughing when he sliced a cross out of the ground.

For most of the season Barton was absolutely awful.

What is this idea of 'having my support' anyhow? Every player has my support. I've never booed a Rangers player in my life, but I'm not going to pretend somebody is great when they are not.

I suspect he won't get anywhere near the side next season, barring an injury crisis or a cup tie at home to Rochdale in the middle of a fixture pile-up.

Depend who else we bring in don't it, if we gonna keep bringing more players we been linked with in the last few days then Hughes may well keep joey on the bench once the suspension is over. It will boil down to how the team and players are performing.

i am getting the impression, just a gut feeling though Mark will try and move Joey on in Jan or next summer...we see

Even with the signings one of the best players at the club. Take the personaility out of the equation and he would be muched loved in the Bush
