QPR boost as Taarabt commits future to club

Adel Taarabt has signed a new contract with QPR that ties him to the club until 2016.
The 23-year-old, who joined the west Londoners from Tottenham in August 2010 following two successful loan spells, has regularly been linked with a move French big-spenders Paris St Germain.
But the Moroccan midfielder has now ended speculation over his future by penning a three-year contract extension with the West Londoners.

Fantastic. Number 10 looks weird on him to be honest but i'm sure it won't take long to look as classy as all QPR players who wear number 10 (bar Dyer)
          Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
          And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

Adel just interviewed by SSN. He says the club asked him to wear the no.10 shirt but was happy with no.7. He was then told the fans wanted him to wear the no.10 so he said ok.

I hope he goes on to become a legend like Stan and Rodney. He's certainly got the potential.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

Absolutely delighted that Adel has penned a three-year extension.
The news coming out of Loftus Rd these days, just gets better and better. Long may that continue.

Great news, deserves the shirt number his tracking back as said was marvellous last year and that goal against Arsenal, I haven't see quality like that at our club since Sir Les ran at defences.

Only issue for the lad is he needs to do more away from home IMHO, then he could be a complete midfield general for us for years and even a future long term captain. Great player and great lad

Best signing of the summer so far. And he is our longest serving 1st team player. If he sees out this contract he will have been with us for seven and a half years.

No body would of expected that from his debut sub against Southampton when he was a young kid onloan from Tottenham doing all the tricks & flicks but not going anywhere near the goal. To then go on & score 19goals & something like 19 assists in the Championship, QPR's main player that year, go to the Premier League, looked like he was off for PSG which I could understand 100% at the time & then under Hughes he's been great. Our longest serving player like you said & long may that carry on
