As it stands (and assuming we have signed Hoilett, and assuming Faurlin will still be injured for a little while longer)
-------------Green------------
Onuoha-Ferdinand-Nelsen-Fabio
-Hoilett--Diakite-Park-Taarabt-
---------Cisse-Zamora-------
Or, the one that many of us prefer (and with Faurlin involved):
------------Green------------
Onuoha-Ferdinand-Nelsen-Fabio
--------Diakite-Faurlin---------
-----Park--Taarabt-Hoilett-----
------------Cisse--------------
Now this one would be best for us I reckon, solid defensively yet very attacking. Park on the right, Taarabt in his most dangerous position behind the striker, and Hoilett on the left to cut inside or run down the left flank...But I'm not sure if this would suit Cisse, can he play up front by himself?"When you went to the corner and saw our fans celebrating the way they were you just wanted to be part of it" - Shaun Derry after we beat the scum 1-0

To get shot of Barton it would cost a hell of a lot of money.
Also, to let him rot with the stiffs for the sake of it is not going to project a good image and still cost a hell of a lot of money.
However, to move him down the pecking order through an abundance of latent talent is not only fair, but will likely force Barton into a move in order sustain his career (I think that Barton is pretty driven in that respect..... unlike Vine for example....).

If we had any intention of Barton being an important player for us we wouldn't have signed Park or be in for De Jong, Celtic's Ki or any of the other midfielders we've been linked with.
He's no longer our Captain and isn't on the tour of Asia for a reason and I expect him to be gone in January. We'll have far far better players than him in the squad come August 18th- none of the Barton lovers will miss him then.

Like this one but but with a new CB instead of Nelsen as i think Nelsen will be more of a back up player. Also i think Park will start on the right wing which i think is why MH has given him the number 7 shirt. I also think of the number 10 shirt as the playmaker (granted not always) which is why i think MH will use Adel behind the main striker. All this assuming Faurlins fit and i really hope he is but where then would Ki Sung Yeung fit presuming we do sign him!!!! Its a nice problem to have
