  • Who's the bigger club...us or Fulham.

Any stats to back this up would be of use.

I'm having a debate with a Fulham fan at the moment....he's convinced it's them.

QPR have better players, Fulham have been in the Premier League longer. For me it's equal until the end of this season
      Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
      And many more mistakes

Tryna use my un-bias head, I can quite easily see why they say they are as, recent history wise, theyve been in Europe etc, they have bigger average gates than us and are, geenrally, more succesful in terms of league finishes.

However, I still say we are. Their fan base is largely toursits, we will get this now and, IMO, leap frog them in terms of attendances as soon as we move into our new ground, ridding them of this arguement. We also have a better history than Foolham (granted we havent got the biggest trophy haul, but Foolham have zero history!).

Foolham have peaked, when they got to the Europa League final IMO. We are on the up, massively, and they know it. Signing PJS / JSP (whichever way round it goes) sealed this for me, plus the new ground annoucnement seemingly imminent, I think Foolham fans will be clutching at the attendances arguement for another year or 2 before they have to admit we have massively leap frogged then in terms of club size. Deep down, even now, I have no doubts even the most die hard Foolham fan could honestly tell himself theyre going to be a bigger club for much longer.

The Rs are well and truely back.

Lets not forget QPR outplayed Fooolham even when Diakite was sent off, that was an impressive performance I must admit

Apart from the fact foolham have been in the permier league for a few seasons more, what elase can they bring to the table in such an arguement?

I'd say we are...We have more fans, more history and a reputation for being a good old family club, one that used to be very good many years ago, and once a top london club. They on the other hand, are known for have shite fans, and have just been in the Premier league for a while now.

To add to the argument they got a cottage in their ground, I think it's a joke

This could be a good discussion as long as the usual knuckle draggers don't ruin it with their childish comments

Their history is short terms, as in the last 10 years whilst we have been sleeping. During that time, they have managed a Europa final and have spent a few years as a mid table PL club. Before that, they were scrapping around the lower leagues and far lower than we have experienced in the last 10 years.
How many times have they finished up as top London Club? How many trophies have they won and how many times have they come even close to winning the first division title? So there you have it.........all those ##### on the cottaging forum are about ten years old and probably only supported them since they arrived in the PL and don't have a clue what it was like to watch them in div 4 among what, 2,000 fans?
Historically their fan base is tiny, the current figures account for those new wave PL only fans, tourists and neutral section; they are uninformed and clueless about our Club and personally, there is no doubt we are bigger in terms of history, fan base, away support and more than that, we are a proper football club with proper tradition whereas they have an extinct paedo as their status symbol and little else besides.
