Its clear a CB is on the radar, and as for strikers, i actually think MH will either play 1 up with 3 behind, or a 433 formation, in which case you could include among the potential front 3, SWP, Taraabt, Mackie, JH (if he signs), Park, on top of the recognised strikers.

          Park/Hoilett-Diakite-Faurlin-Taarabt

Unless we go with 1 striker, and Tarbs can play behind him while Hoilett and Park can play out wide....but with Hughes in charge I don't see this happening
As the old saying goes 'your formation is dictated by the players you've got at your disposal'

Put it this way, playing 4-2-3-1 next season is far more solid defensively and far more attacking than playing 4-4-2.

          Faurlin Diakite
          Park Taarabt Hoilett
          Cisse

That is what dreams are made of

This could be amazing. Not sure how Cisse would do without a partner up front though. I'd like to see Hughes give this sort of formation a try at some point though, if only to accommodate all our attacking mids and to change things up a bit

"Johnson- 1 year deal, keeps fit and maybe gets 10 goals.
Park- Creative and a good worker. Good enough for United and all that...
Nelsen- Always thought he was solid, nout special but solid.
Green- As good as Westy and Mig
              Diakite- Aye hes shite"

When other fans say things like this, it's clear they are judging these players on a specific moment...e.g. for this one Diakite's sending off. Next season these people will realise how good he is.
"When you went to the corner and saw our fans celebrating the way they were you just wanted to be part of it" - Shaun Derry after we beat the scum 1-0

              • Hoilett is a really promising young player. Would be an excellent signing - can't wait to read all the bitter posts on the Fulham message board if/when this deal finally goes through!

He's not alone though when he'll have Taarabt pulling defenders left right and centre near him and Hoilett and Park offering the width. Also both Park and Hoilett love to get in the box and score goals. We could be really really good next season and i can't wait!!

                          This
                          Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
                          And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

                          • Wouldn't have said a winger was our priority but hell, top quality player on a free, can't complain.

                            Curtains for SWP surely.

Seems to me that the management are willing to snap up better quality than what we have whenever the opportunity arises, and no sentiment about it. Look at Sparky having talks with Giroud even though Zamora's not been with us long.
