Maybe we should sign your cat up then - may be the striker we are missing/needing!

So rather than viewing it as Pellicori is the only effective striker, maybe see it as the manager has a point and we may find we have 5 or 6 players beyond the strikers that will get 8 to 12 goals each. More than enough to supplement the strike force.

Have to say I would still like us to bring in a striker, but I also see this from both perspectives as I think we will play a more progressive brand of football this year (similar to under De Canio) where the midfielders really did chip in with their share of goals.
Perhaps. Although, as you say, I think we still need a striker. Even with other players chipping in with goals, it's still important to have someone up front who can actually stick the ball into the back of the net. As we saw last Saturday, Taraabt and Helguson missed chance after chance after chance. In this division, we simply cannot afford to miss those sort of opportunities.

EDIT: Of course, Taraabt could improve as he gets used to playing in that position. And Pellicori could turn out to be excellent - he's certainly got off to a good start. Who knows?

So what if it was only 4 yards out

If he's in the right place at the right time and can head the ball.. is exactly what we need

How many spectacular goals did Gary Lineker score yet what a striker he was

From where we were sitting the ball was behind him and wide on his right hand side, so he had to twist and lean back at the same time, yet he kept it under control, kept it down and hit it sweetly.
Don't underestimate just what a balls-up he could have made, especially leaning back -- a lot of strikers, even four yards out, would have lashed that over the bar because of the position he and the ball were in.
He made a potential embarrassment look a lot easier than it was.

Love the way this guy gets it in the neck for tap in. We must be the most whinging supporters in the country.

He has scored 3 goals in 3/4 games??

Thats what a goalscorer is supposed to do, find the back of the net

Pete I like the look of him.
I think he is a huge improvement on blackstock and don't forget our bet is at £75 and not really moving. I doubt he will get in when they realise he is rubbish.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

I dont care if a goal is a 30 yard screamer or off my backside from 1 yard they all count.
