                      Really half the league is so average and evenly matched, it's just a question of consistency rather than pure talent on the books.

                      Are we that much worse than Villa, Sunderland, Stoke, West Brom? Even Fulham if they don't strengthen? No. Outside the obvious top 6, there's Newcastle and Everton who are clearly better than us currently.

                      I think if we get a good start and play to the maximum of our abilities then 9th isn't out of the question. Higher than that and we would be profiting from better teams underachieving.

                              I'd accept being safe with 3 games to go, as I'm loading it on as I get older and can see a heart attack coming on if next season is anything like last year
