Don't think anyone is writing Mackie off but I think to suggest that he is likely to start instead of Park on a regular basis is just ridiculous!

        No. Park JS is #2.

        #1 is this guy.

Is that Jamie Mackie or another Mackie?
          Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
          And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

The guy started in Man Utd's most important game of the seaon against City just short of 2 months ago and you're questioning whether he might be past it or bought as a squad player?!! Behave!

He has 4 Premier League & 1 Champions League winners medals, he is considered the best talent that South Korea has ever had (and they are a good side so don't belittle this fact) and he is a guy that Fergie has turned to in virtually every important domestic or european game in the last 5 years.

He will walk into our side any day of the week!

That is rubbish. He started against Man City away in the biggest game Man Utd have had for years. If he was even slightly past it Fegie would not have started him in that game. Just look who was on the bench for Man Utd that night. Park started ahead of all of those and this was only 2 or so months ago.

Park over Mackie every day/hour and second of the week. Mackie will be an impact sub up top this season.

not writing mackie off. if he isn't sold off he will be a useful impact sub and a handy squad player but if you look at his career to date he isnt fit to tie park's boot laces. and even if you dont see that, it is apparent that the club think this is right up there with the biggest signings we have ever made. sure he will be captain and start every game when fit.

Of course man, he not going to be warming our bench. He will play as right wing or behind the two strikers

A fair few United fans think that Fergie starting with Park against City was one of the mistakes that cost them the league.

You simply cannot argue that Park has been in any sort of good form this last year. We wouldn't have got him if United weren't ready to let him go, and they are generally very loyal to their squad players.

However that doesn't mean he won't be good enough for us. I think he'll do fine and will be a great example to the squad on and off the field. Especially looking forward to him and Mackie in the same team - opposition fullbacks aren't going to get a moment's rest.

Ashamed to see how Mackie can still be so unappreciated btw.
