I wish people would stop mocking Park Ji Sung about his nationality and just let him focus on my korea...Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
And many more mistakes
LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

ja i sprechen sie Korean.
was a bit excited for Park's move to QPR UNTIL i stumbled into the "Welcome Korean.." thread.
When Park transferred to Manure, those Reds were spraying dog jokes left and right. You'd figure by now the dog jokes would've gotten old but that's far from the truth.. After seeing the immature posts by some QPR fans, the only thing that matured was Park's age and ability.
You lot have your hands on one of the best Asian players alive, yet you only can find ways to make fun of an entire race.
You do know that it's 2012, and Korean netizens (Internet users) can easily translate English pages. many Koreans are still loyal to Manure but a good portion of South Korea will be tuning into QPR games. if you play your cards right, you could potentially attract a huge Korean/Asian fanbase.
If you want to properly welcome a talented midfielder that has at least a few years left in him and a nation that is supporting his back, welcome him properly.
it was ok for Manure fans to do the "You eat dogs in your home country" chant since it's Manure. they are known world-wide and park didn't mind but his fans do. you don't see videos on youtube of Koreans singing that chant, just non-Koreans. thank God manure fans came out with the "Don't sell my Park" chant. easily made many of us forget the chant I mentioned before.
you guys are unproven in Korea and before this transfer. no one in Korea knew or cared about QPR.
Show some class and come up with a supportive chant like the one Park had at PSV.
welcome potential Korean fans the right way and enough with the dog jokesLast edited by chosonjukku; 10-07-2012, 01:21 AM.

but just a bit of fun , we must bow down because you now wish to support us because weve signed one of your own, who you going to support when his gone?
you can stick your attitude where the sun dont shine
i personally think the signing of players like park is not good in the long run and we will lose our identity in the near future..................

Some people are way too touchy. Its tongue in cheek. Why are there certain "taboo" subjects you cant have a joke about but others you can? Fat people, ginger people etc, they get stick all the time and its laughed off and treate as acceptable, yet as soon as a jokey / stereotype-related comment is made about certain races people get all high and mighty and play the race card? Dont get me wrong, Im not promoting racism at all, but the sort of comments weve had on here regards the Korea issue is far from racist its a flipping joke. Theres no malice in any comment for christs sake, lighten up.

I don't think Anton would appreciate JT telling him to "grow up" or that it was just a "flipping joke" in court.
We are trying to build the brand and while we don't need to bow down to the whole of Korea, a simple welcome without the sterotypes could help build some exciting bridges!
Similar to the small influx of Moroccans who followed us after Tarbs joined - they may well stop following us if he leaves, but lets enjoy their company whilst he's here.

Agree with the sentiment of the last bit of your post though, we are expanding and so of course all people are welcome. Some football fans writing on a forum throwing around some tongue in cheek jokes really isnt anti-that at all. Granted, there definatley should have been a few more "welcome" messages thrown in, cant deny that, but the view on some of the comments, IMHO, is way OTT.Last edited by MattyRangers; 10-07-2012, 07:32 AM.You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

We are talking about middle aged men here behaving like kids , I think it was about time the playground banter on here stopped and some off you just ****ing grow up. Normally led by the usual posters it is about time some of the posters on here started realising fans across the country and world of other teams read this forum.
BTW welcome mateLast edited by W12_Ranger; 10-07-2012, 08:21 AM.

I was amazed at how many Koreans were on the live stream yesterday and also how many on Facebook declared their new found love for us.

Admittedly, I myself have been focusing way too much on the comments made side of things and not on welcoming the new fans on board.
We obviously all view things diffferently and have different levels of whatw e view as "tongue in cheek" and what becomes offensive, as explained I, personally, dont take life too seriously and take the pi$$ out of most things (myself incldued!), and so dont mean any malice or offence in any comments.
Welcome to any new Korean fans / followers, good to have you on board for our growth as a clubYou should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.
