Yeah great, shows what's wrong with this country when a couple blokes that have thrown a few punches get the same sentance as people who brutally torture a small child (like the Baby P case).

Next the press will make out people were indiscriminately kicked, punched and glassed regardless of age and a young girl finished it all off fending people off with a broom,.

        Oh wait they have

you can question the sentence but one thing is for sure. at 57 you should know better.

depends what side of the fence your on,if you were in there with small kids you would look at the incident completely differently to being a qpr fan

Point is the sentences were harsh for throwing a few punches

On the radio this morning it had said that one of them involved in the case had been given 3 and a half years, only narrowly longer than one of the sentances above.
If I'm wrong I'll put my hands up but my point being throwing a couple of punches at a football match will land you in alot more hot water than deserved. Commiting other offences which on my radar are 10x worse get similar or lighter sentances.

Got exactly what they deserved. I can half understand how some kids can get mixed up in it thinking they are Danny Dyer but two men in their 50s, no excuses!
Win or lose, on the booze

Thats because football fans are an easy target and they have to justify the Police costs somehow

turn it round. if it was your relative that got injured. a man of 70. you would be calling them thugs.

you can't say they didn't deserve it

Did you not understand the **** taking above?

The stories that come out in the local press around Ipswich (of which this is one of them) about the incident were fabrication to blow the case out of the water. All complete exagerrations.

Trust me, no 70 year old men were battered to an inch of their life or anything like that.

I was on that train (though not involved in any of the trouble) and seem to remember it was mayhem

Loads of police waiting when train got into liverpool st.. luckily friend I was with had a press card so we were allowed to walk straight through
