I thought signing A J put paid to getting Defoe tho I wouldn't say no ,
Gallas not to sure about I thought we had strong interest elsewhere in an African C/h

Yes. We can do better. Rather have that Sengalese CB from Porto. Would also rather have a younger, "up and coming" FW as complement to the ones we have.

Not sure about Gallas, trouble always seems to follow him!! Defoe, yes please! Out and out goalscorer and you can never have to many of those!!

If I understand you right, I think Ive heard it all now. Can just about understand the quibble about Gallas with his age/ injury record, but Defoe? Hes the most clinical finisher in the English game since Michael Owen and you reckon we can do better????

            i think defoe

i think defoe would be a fantastic aquasition and he could guarantee our survival but if im honest i would rather buy a player qwho is younger and who could be sold off in three years time for big money

Why would Defoe come to W12, as he is leaving WHL to play regular football, week in week out and with Cisse, Zamora and Johnson, that will not happen. If it did, Cisse, Zamora and Johnson would more than likely be pissed off and would be looking for an exit.

QPR dont have the finances to have such strikes collecting splinters,, so although I would love this to happen, i cant see it.

Defoe is way better than any of those - especially Johnson, their scoring records dont even compare - and would be an automatic starter for us and every team outside the top six or seven. Agree its exceptionally unlikely, but for that very reason.

Sorry mate but I have to disagree with you on this one !!

As much as I love Cisse and I'm delighted we've got him ......Defoe is a BETTER player ....probably the best natural finisher in the Prem ...Can score goals from anywhere within 30 yards !!!

He has also done it year in /year out in the Prem over the past 10 years and its only because Spuds used him as a sub (can't understand why) that he hasn't scored more goals!!

Would f.....g love it if we signed him !!

Fair enough, well we could argue the toss over who is better out of Cisse and Defoe but it really isn't that important which way round we see it. The fact is we aren't going to play them in the same side and neither is going to be happy warming the bench. We have Cisse, Zamora & Johnson who will all be on big wages and all want to play and for this reason alone I think if we sign another striker it will be a younger player who is willing to take their chances as and when they come rather than someone like Defoe who needs to play every week.

Mate, not sure you can argue the toss over who is better between Defoe and Cisse. I love Cisse already but this is Defore's scoring record (appearances listed then goals in brackets):

                          Fair arguement.

Well we spoke to Giroud when having all the above at the club. It's a squad game and we need another striker, a 4 of Defoe, Cisse, Zamora and Johnson would be great to have in the squad.

I think we'll sign another striker but it won't be Defoe, it'll be a target man type, leaving us with Cisse and Johnson as the goalscorers and Zamora and another as the target men.

Way better than Cisse?....I don`t think so. Don`t be blinded by what Defoe has done earlier in his career. He has had his best seasons and would not be a good choice.

Well, we have the money to buy Defoe, that's not in doubt. I think a group of strikers consisting of Cisse Defoe Zamora and Johnson would be incredible, and we also have Taraabt and Mackie to complement that group if required.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.
