Reports out of Korea suggest Ki Sung-yueng is about to sign with English side QPR!

    Tom Seungmin Lee ‏@kingkenny1967
QPR confirmed they've signed the first Korean player in their club history. It looks like to be Ki Sung-yueng.

Would be a good squad player and boost our image in the Asian world but may be too big a step up from the Scots.

Cant say I've even heard of him tbh so cant comment. Great acquestition marketing wise, football wise, who knows - PL is a big step up form the 2 bob Jock league. In Sparkie we trust n all that though eh!

Be a poor move if he's being signed just to sell shirts. I wouldnt sacrifice a place in the squad for a marketting ploy
Maybe he will be ok but a korean from the jock PL doesn't fill me full of confidence

Someone shout to Hughesy: "Mate, your signing the wrong one! The Korean you want is in Manchester..."

Can't quite figure out how this may impact on the Park rumour. Could it be a case of mistaken identity? Or could having a South Korean team mate here make it more likely?

The rumours doing the rounds are suggesting a 6-7m fee, seems like a lot for a player that doesn't always start for Celtic. I suppose you could argue that at 23 we are buying for his potential and he is one for the future, there is also the obvious Far East connection too. He also seems to be a very similar player to Ale Faurlin, a deep lying playmaker, just trying to get my head round who's going to fit in where?!!!

dont think a club like ours spends 6/7m on "one for the future" - it wd be our record signing by a distance. hope its a case of mistaken identity in the right way, my fear is someone heard we were after a korean and immediately thought of park.

Yeah maybe but this rumour really does seem to have some legs. Reports popping up in the press and online in the Far East and in Scotland!

That fee is farcical and never accurate. Jelavic was arguably the bast player in Scotland and went for only £5m. To suggest a Celtic sub could go for £7 is ridiculous.
