Who can blame him, Arsenal are shocking
      Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
      And many more mistakes

Any footballer who leaves for more money I don't blame them. I would you have to set your self up for the future get as much cash as possible what do footballers do when they retire? Not a lot more money helps them and there family.

i think maybe lower league footballers fall into this situation, but prem players especially ones like RVP who have played a no of years should have no money worries at all.

Yep. Even Slur Alex had to give Wayne Rooney mega money to keep him at Man Utd. Van Persie is just as, if not more important & deserves that big money

In football terms they all earn too much, some deserve more compared to others. - Though I do agree with your point

Nope, I just don't give a toss about Arsenal.

Irrelevant threads like this use to be moved, but alas they don't now.

Arsenal would have finished 16th last season without his goals! They must be mental letting him go!

Well past his best, wouldn't want him at W12
I blew a lot on vodka and tonic, gambling and fags. Looking back, I think I overdid it on the tonic. - The one and only Stanley Bowles

Maybe I missed something. Is there a rule stating that an ex pro can't get a regular job once their legs stop working?

Be honest, who'd give an ex-player a job? Most of them are thick as two boards.....
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.
