first season won nothing second season took us to the fa cup final
third season won the league took us into the prem
fourth season took us to fitth in the prem
why i particularily love the venables regime,was because he brought players up from the youth program he amazed everyone by putting hucker dawes neil and mcdonald into the first team even against premeirship opposition,such was his amazing youth set up that even after he left qpr lasted another 14 seasons before they got relegated
many would say dave sexton but he by his own admision could not buy and sell players,venners realised that you have to buy young players then sell them on for huge profits
where as sextons purchases were all players around the 30 years of age
