Who cares who the last person was, the important thing is who the next person will be to score 20 goals, as it ain't going to be any of the ones we have at the moment.

Phillips scored 15 Birmingham went up

Patterson scored 10 and Burnley went up.

Tarrabt says his target is 15 goals, I'll go with that.

Just to clarify, I'm pretty certain we are looking for a striker, I'm just giving my opinion.

Tarrabt played and scored when up front V Bristol City and against Southampton pre-season, no-one said a word.
I like tarrabt but he needs a partner up front.

By the way, I'd have vine on the left wing

          Quality stiker Tarrabt

              Ross McCormack Cardiff 21 Goals
Jason Scotland Swansea City 20 Goals
              Kevin Doyle Reading 18 Goals
              Tommy Smith Watford 16 Goals
              Kevin Phillips Birmingham 15 Goals
Marcus Tudgay Sheffield Wednesday 14 Goals
              Chris Iwelumo Wolverhampton 14 Goals
Dexter Blackstock Queens Park Rangers 13 Goals
              Martin Paterson Burnley 13 Goals

But the fact is, we scored one of the lowest amount of goals last year that signals we need a striker. It was clear on saturday as well. Dont tell me that you think were ok up front!!!!:waaaht:
Yeah, and as per your list, Dex had 13 with months of the season still to play and was dumped..... Had he played i'm certain he would've reached 20 come the end of the season.

hopefully tarrabt or 1 of the others will score enough goals to get us enough points to get us promoted. if nobody does we will have this same arguement again next year. again.

Pete - Based on the other thread, can you confrm this is the midfield / attacking line up you think is the one to turn us into championship promotion contenders.

HH okay, I'll keep quiet until he scores, but we are simply not giving Tarrabt time. He played up front against Bristol City last season and scored, no-one and I mean no-one said a word.
Kind of agree, but selling our top goal scorer and not really replacing him, Pellcori is being touted as a squad player would it have made more sense to not sign him and go after a Lita/Beckford type of player.

Tarrabt is unproven. I think the player is quality by the way but not sure he is our goal machine. More of a creator imo. We need a poacher type player

Am I the only one who thinks Buz cant play in 4-4-2 and would be better used in a free role behind the striker like he was when De Canio was manager

Though it may need Mahon, as playing 3 attacking midfielders would be very adventorous away

By the way, De Canio played Buzsacky the wing alot during his reign, not in the hole behind 1 or 2. FACT.

We should not have sold Blackstock and stick by that
