Don Masson and Tony Currie both great passers of the ball. You cant compare Faurlin with Don Masson for the reason that they have different games. Firstly Masson could not tackle nor put his foot in where it hurts where as Faurlin does and protects the back four in doing so. Faulins game is to break the others sides game down, to be an outlet for the back four and he gives to others in short passes. Masson was there to receive the ball and spray passes around bringing others into the game or setting up the break aways but currently now serving up the great British fry up breakfast.Populus fui meus nomen , tamen meus nomen est non meus nomen

In fairness Masson was a few years before my time so cant really compare but Currie for me was up there with any England midfielder I've seen for passing. A few years later people rated Hoddle very highly (and rightly so) but I think Currie had just as much raw ability - maybe a bit more wayward off field, not too sure.
