I like what Mark Hughes is doing for the club. He could have easily gone on holiday when the season finished but no, he's out looking at players to improve the squad. You get the impression he brings the same passion he had as a player to his management. I think we're lucky to have him.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

This, I couldn't believe people didn't want him at the start but can only guess they were upsetting at losing Warnock. In the end everything looks good
      Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
      And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

True, very true, Hughes is dedicated to the job in hand i.e. assembling and preparing 'his' squad for the coming season.

In all honesty, he is extremely well paid and his job depends on the results he achieves. So it is in everyone's interest that he gets pre-season spot on. |This includes buying selling, training and friendlies.
The only managers who can relax during the summer are those who are quite secure in their jobs i.e. Ferguson, Wenger, Moyes and Martinez and Hugjes is not quite at this stage.

I prefer to judge managers on what is in the form book since the start of their career, factoring in the circumstances in which they operated. So for instance the Bergkamp Wenger period at Highbury was a bit more manager friendly than the scenario at Blackburn and Wolves last season... In that light I'd say Hughes record is better than average without being outstanding. His sides had a reputation for physicality, no harm in that just as long as there is a bit of football to go with. To be fair to him he's had no option than go down the 'get stuck in' route in the past. He could deliver, but it's very early days to be rushing to judgement in either direction.

I get the feeling this job for Mark is like a real life football manager sim that fans play, he's getting the chance to build a whole club, all aspects
