I had the pleasure of watching Rodney and George Best play while they were past their prime in the old NASL! I was new to the game but both of these players seemed miles better than anyone else on the pitch! When I saw Marsh in the late 70's I hadn't become a QPR fan just yet, I'd like to think he had something to do with me becoming one! I follow him on twitter and find him humerous and entertaining!

        No, that's my job ;)

I saw them both many times. They had one priceless asset in common: time. They never looked hurried and they loved the ball. Inniesta reminds me a bit of Stan, in a kind of healthy Spanish way. Rodney was more physical but still had the touch. I think Stan had that bit extra in the pure skill department, he would be a god in Spain or Italy. He was also a god down the local betting shop, loved him for that as well. Probaly the most skilled player ever to pull on the shirt, Taraabt has a little bit of that but doesn't have the same level of confidence. It could still come.
