Clint's a stopper and Ferdy's a sweeper, they compliment each other but lack height...

All this changed for the good when a Real Commander became his partner in central defense

So for me without a doubt ... HILL

Don't let yourselves be fooled , Ferdinand looks on paper the better player and more experienced.
But.... it was Hill who kept us together and showed what a leader must be in the back apart from Chelsea away.
POTY so deserves that captains band.
          Well said

Ferdinand did an ok job last year but he's not good enough, he seems to be away with the fairies at times. Hill is a better defender so it's a no brainer. Clint Hill should be captain.... However... If we are aiming for a top ten finish, both need replacing. Harsh but true

Yep. No room for sentiment in football. Hill was superb last year dont get me wrong and I think hes a top top bloke, but if we are looking to push on and up the table we really need a player of his mould but abit younger and sharper, in the mould of somebody like Shawcross IMO (although not him as he would cost a fortune I should imagine!). Somebody like him next to Anton would be fine for me, Anton looks alot better when he is with a commanding CB. When tis him who needs to be the leader though (ie when he was with Gabbidon), he looks like a rabbit in headlights at times.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Soldier: "im on reconnaissance sir.. im looking for our camouflage expert.. have you seen him?"
                Lovejoy: "No?!"
Soldier: "GOD DAMNIT THAT GUYS GOOD!"

Very strange how so many people want the captain to be somebody who wont actually be in the team.

Well stainrod, i would start hill this season. he was superb in the centre last time out and think he deserves his spot.

give him the arm band and watch him roar!

he played out of his skin the back end of last season at centre back and will always be grateful for that but if people are serious about us being a mid-table prem team and expecting clint hill to be our first choice centre back next season then im seriously worried.

                        Anton
                        Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
                        And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

Don't know if anyone will agree with me but I would like to see one top defender bought in to partner Onuoha at centre-back

Ferdinand, Hill and Nelsen on standby for suspension or injuries for the long season ahead of us...

Hill is a better defender than Ferdinand. Ferdinand started well but his for suffered after the Chelsea incident came to light.

Anton had a pretty decent ending to the season imo, was solid against Spurs at home.

Hill all day long as he has a brain and can organise.

I suppose the players and fans wrote the wrong name down when voting.
