Its not about it being a sensible decision or best for both parties the matter of fact behind it was our hands were tied and that is the max we could do.The debate will go on between the keep Joey and sack Joey camps but at the end of the day rangers had no grounds to sack him due to the PFA rules( and personaly i think they would have if given the choice) and we have to get on with it but dont be surprised if JB never kicks a ball again in a competitive gave for us.

So where's he going if he's not gonna play a competitive game for us again?

We've already established that we can't afford to sack him and I don't see too many clubs queuing up to sign him. Are you saying we are gonna let him rot in the reserves? If so that isn't gonna help anyone, Joey isn't gonna become a more attractive proposition to other clubs if he isn't playing first team football.

When you break it down, there is no conspiracy theory here, the club statement is self explanitory. Joey has been dealt the maximum penalty we can give him, he has also been asked to commit contractually to the fact that he will be sacked if he behaves like this again. I don't really see any other outcome than Joey returning to the first team when his suspension has been served.

He has been disciplined by the FA and now by the club and that should be the end of it. But unfortunately we are infested with fans who would like nothing better than to string him up as well. Sell him? never kick a ball for us again? wheres all that coming from? the club have moved on and so should the fans who persist in the Joey witch hunt. And all those who was morally outraged at his behavior...tough, he is still a rangers players and as such you should be backing him. Bet some of them outraged fans might need counselling after the club has now drawn a line under it . Never mind loveys! :-)
and be good to see Joey back again in the hoops!!!

Joey Barton reacts after being stripped of QPR captaincy

Joey Barton has vowed to bounce back from his 12-match ban and help push QPR up the Barclays Premier League table.

Seems to me like both the club and the player have dealt with this in the best possible and most logical way. The only way I could envisage a better outcome was if JB had requested that the fine be 12 weeks, due to the length of his ban.

At least it's now over and most of us can move on.

It does sound like he is genuinely remorseful and disappointed with himself. Who know's, perhaps this could be a wake up call for him and the making of him as a QPR player.

quite simple,he is out till November,we will buy another midfielder which if things go to plan will give us Dikaite,Faurlin,Derry,A.N.OTHER. As most of us are optimistic and the season starts well MH isnt going to change a team that is moulding just to bring JB into the team. Also, there will be a team or two that will enquire about JB in the January window as there will be teams who need a battler to either help them stay up or get promoted and we will not require a transfer fee and before people say who's gonna pay his wages...........WELL WE DID !!

Haven't seen any posts like that since the announcement mate. I'm sure the majority of fans agree with the decision as all the posts so far have shown, and will get behind Joey now that everyone understands the situation.

How many wakeup calls does Barton need?
Banning people is no longer my hobby,
but take a look at my photo blog:

How and why did I start supporting QPR in Estonia:

Yeah but we paid well over the odds on his salary and that was straight after a successful couple of seasons at Newcastle. Barton is coming off the worst season in terms of both form and ill discipline that he has had in many years (or possibly ever). Couple this with the fact that he is on wages that not many sides outside of Europes elite would be prepared to pay means that we are stuck with him. The only way we could get shot is if he agreed to take a drop in wages (which is unlikely) or we continue to pay a percentage of his wages in order to entice a potential buyer.

Not trying to have a dig at you Webbie, I just think we need to stop looking for conspiracy theories here. The noises coming from both the club and the player suggest that Joey has been punished, will serve his suspension and will be given another chance. I don't understand why so many are questioning that or continuing a witch hunt against Barton.
