Signed last night according to The People after resisting a last minute approach from QPR.2 year deal and probably guaranteed first team football in the Championship.

The other way of looking at it was he was not guaranteed a starting place every week, so would have been only backup?

I can understand him going to the Championship for first team football but for Blackburn?!
            Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
            And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

Also, probably wanted to spend his twilight years back up north.... a bit like Bradders.

                      Cracking signing for them.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Were we even after him? Not so sure about that.

Handy enough player but if we're looking for a CM I'd rather go for Ireland. Tenacious, ball winning play maker & a lot younger.

Ireland had one good season at City, there or there abouts, 5 years ago. I wouldn't want him at the club, he'd been on decent money like Barton and stinking the place out with mediocre performances. Samba and Ale in the middle every day of the week.

He was player of the year at Villa last year

He was still awful. Ask Villa fans.
