  • Which goal was more important, Mackie's vs Liverpool or Cisse's vs Stoke?

It's very much a which came first the chicken or the egg question. For me there's nothing between them. Jamie Mackie's goal was the turning point and without that we would of gone down in my opinion & Cisse's goal kept us in the Premier League.

I couldn't vote as it's so close. So in your opinion, which goal was more important?

    Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
    And many more mistakes

Doesn't matter does it? one without the other would have been useless, so both as important as each other.
You may as well chuck in WBA's late goal v Bolton or Stoke's equaliser, without them we would have been in deep trouble too.

Yep, you could throw in Smith's goal v Everton too, equally important.

I'd say Mackie's...That goal and win for us was our turning point. From then on we became a threat to the bigger clubs

That's exactly why I posted it, it's a tough one & it will be interesting what goal the fans think was more important

Bit tangential this, but the most important goal was Hill's 'non' goal. I really think we would have had a more 'comfortable' end to the season if that had gone in.

It's hard to choose but I loved the MOTD commentary for Cisse's goal :D

                      Love that video.

Tbh neither goal was more important than the other, both were just as important. Without Mackie's, Cisse's wouldnt have bene importnt because we would have probably already been down, impossible to compare. All I know is watching clips of both still gives me friggin goosebumps!

Good question. Purely judging by how happy I was after the goals, I'd say Liverpool - hadnt jumped up and down to a goal quite like that since I was a kid. To come back in that was was real Roy of the Rovers stuff. Kickstarted our whole revival. That said the five minute turnaround with cisse scoring and bolton letting in a goal was incredible - think I was too stunned to really celebrate it properly!

After alot of thought I decided Cisse's goal.

Both were as important as each other, Mackie's was the turn around but Cisse's was so important with Man City next game
