rest in peace macca surely one of the most loyal players ever to don the hoops and also one of the best centre halfs as well.remember watching him playing for the youth team and thinking he was poor(in fact he was just raw)but boy did he rapidly become one of my favourites,no doubt sparky still has some scars of their battles.macca simply the best top top bloke gone but never forgotton.

Macca is my favourite ever footballer and it seems unreal that he is gone so soon. I was lucky enough to meet him once and I told him he was my favourite player and he replied "you're easily pleased!" which I thought was cool.
A player like him is rare these days with loyalty to the £ more stronger than club loyalty. It's sad to think he is gone but I will always be inspired by him and how he played and carried himself.
RIP Macca.

Bit of a shocker. I've only been a supporter for 21 years, started following QPR as an 13 year old lad, I was quite late to football - I think it was all the plastic Liverpool fans at my junior school that did it for me, put me right off.
Looking back, the team of 92 was a vintage and Macca was the heart of that team along with Ollie and Les.
RIP Macca.

Typing this is so hard to do as tears are falling from my face as ive just heard the devastating news of the passing of Mr QPR.
Ive been on a boys booze weekend and just got text message from little sis.

As soon as i,m home i will get my signed macca shirt out and reflect on all that was good about my footballing hero..

How desperately, desperately sad.
Like having the music you grow up with suddenly taken away.. . count myself as fortunate enough to have seen the big fella from a rather shaky start.. I seem to recall an away game at LooTown early on when he looked like a rabbit in the headlights... to go on to be the cornerstone of the team that I followed home and away for many years.. the one you always look back on with such affection..
And for every Stanley.. every Rodney.. there was a Macca... holding it all together.. making it work... the one that those fans who went week in, week out saw... appreciated... loved...
All the best big fella... and thanks

see macca play many a game for rangers and he was a full hearted tough player who gave his all.He was a much better player than he was given credit for.As i said to my rangers mate last nite you have had more skillfull/better footballers but none of em with a bigger heart and more courage than Macca.
