Another African? Who'd be left in January with the next African Nations cup going on? Toure, Traore, Diakate (if he signs), Taiwo (if he signs), Taraabt.
At a wild guess all of them. African Nations every two years.
"Queens Park Rangers Football Club are plotting a bid for Kolo Toure.
The Ivory Coast international is no longer considered a first team pick by Manchester City, although he did help them clinch the Premier League title last season.
Roberto Mancini, though, is in the market for another new defender during the summer, and this would see the former Arsenal star further slip down the pecking order.
Mark Hughes, who signed Toure during his time in charge of City, is keen on a reunion with the 31-year-old, and the QPR boss is lining up a £5million offer for his signature."
At a wild guess all of them. African Nations every two years.
Not this time though. The African Nations Cup is running again this coming January to take it out of sync with World Cup and European Nations competitions. Then, the next one will be two years afterwards.
He was always a class act. Also all these people suggesting anyone over 30 is past it needs to realise that the world of football has changed loads over recent years. In the past players would struggle past 30, but they also got pi5sed after every match. now they have the best nutrician, training, expertise looking after them in what is a multi billion industry. It's no coincidence players go a lot longer these days.
Also, the fact he's been used sparingly the last couple of years should also mean he possibly has more years in him then someone who's played week in week out every season.
Snap him up. I'd be surprised if it would take £5m though. I think you could get him for about £3.5 - 4m. He must be nearing the end of his contract, is out of the reckoning and being paid massive wages no doubt.... it would be in their interest to sell relatively cheap, and save millions in pointless wages.
