Sorry if already posted, but anyone seen we are now linked to Danny Murphy in one of the papers? I can understand Johnson, and Nelson as they bring experience, leadership and some quality - but Murphy? Do we really need him as well? We definitely lacked premiership experienced players last year, but how many do we need? Im sure there will be some good younger players to sign still, but I dont see why we need as many "older" players as we seem to be linked with.

Hope the club play hardball. If he says he wd really prefer to play in the championship in blackburn then just say "ok danny, toodle pip." don't think sparky wd have to wait that long for his agent to come back on the blower saying that, upon reflection, he wd prefer to stay in the prem and in london. he can always move to the championship next season.

The first priority is survival. The short term plan is to ensure the club maintains its premier league status. Hughes probably takes the view that this can be achieved by signing older, experienced players. Over the course of the next couple of years he will replace these players with younger, more talented players. We've got the academy being built and players will eventually come through the ranks.
I trust Hughes and the board, and they undoubtably have plans for short, medium and long term.Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.
