I am sorry Pete but I think you are completely wrong on this occasion.
Tarrabt is a class player, who's greatest asset is having2 great feet and close ball control. That makes him beat a man with ease. He would be a great asset for us to play left wing and he could even cut in at times. When he loses the ball it won't be so costly. To compare him to Ronaldo is risky. I think ronaldo learn't his trade as a winger but was moved into the middle when he improved his strength and shooting abilitys. Tarrabt needs to improve his all round game if he is going to play centre forward.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Don't mind a difference of opinion, but if we all had that view we may as well send the poor kid back to tottenham, as he has been written off by all our fans already as a striker.

We have a surplus of midfielders and I cannot see him getting into a midfield, do you?

thats because he is not a striker

i think maybe a word in his ear about passing to another player from time to time might help.

                    Okay, lets send him back..

We have Hogan, Buzz, Rowlands, Faurlin, Mahon, Leighterwood, Alberti, Routledge, Cook no room for Tarrabt in midfield as far as I can see.

Askewboy, don't disagree with you there.

i would go along with that if it meant getting a striker

We certainly should not be sending him back-sure we can TRY him upfront-but surely it is obvious that we need an OUT AND OUT STRIKER/NATURAL FINISHER/TARGET-MAN...

Sam-qpr, do you play a striker on a game by game basis? If he doesn't score, then let them go.

Sounds to me, thats what you are advocating

I think he does get into our midfield.
He would play left wing for me and balanta would drop to the bench as I think Buzz should be our free man. I think Cook could compete with Tarrabt when fit but to try and change his position because we don't have a leroy lita, morrison, earnshaw type of striker is not the correct one in my opinion. I think Morrison and earnshaw will score more goals than tarrabt because I dont see tarrabt being a natural finisher.
