Am i a complete tool but can someone explain to me why there goal was not offside as it appears to me that the ball was passed forward to Navas

I was thinking this earlier
I'm sure the rule is you must have two players level or behind you when receiving a FORWARD pass?
Normally one of those two is the keeper and obviously only applies if your run starts over the halfway line.
Key thing is if it says forward pass in the rule and I can't be bothered to look it up.
I'm using old style offside terminology and even that's confusing so is it any wonder refs and links make a pigs ear of it with the major confusion FIFA introduced with phases of play etcI need some time in the sunshine, I gotta slow it right down.
