agree mate, some of these players we would have been bouncing in the isles for 2 years ago, we as fans have to learn to take what the papers say as complete c**p

too old, not a good signing IMHO, younger players at the same level available as backup

i would go for the likes of Bruma, Caulker, Mills, Knight but im sure hughes must have a few younger gems . Still i do trust his judgement

Apart from a team of superstar signings that some want, we still need some "steady eddies" in the squad. And he fits that bill. The contribution of our jobbing pros was a major factor in our promotion campaign and that same blend of experience and youthful enthusiasm will still be needed at this level and possibly more so if we are to survive. In short, a good signing if he arrives.

Ryan Nelsen set for Queens Park Ranges

Ryan Nelsen is expected to undergo a medical at Queens Park Rangers on Friday ahead of a free transfer. The 34-year-old New Zealander left Tottenham Hotspur after the end of his short-term contract.

Clint & Dezza were far from welcomed by many (me included) on this site for being too old , but for me they added that one thing we have needed for years grit and determination, and anyway players go on longer these days, let's see what they're like on the pitch. Young ain't always good as Facto said earlier,... Tamas Priskin????????

Diakate, Faurlin, Taarabt, Traore, Mackie all potential starters under the age of 26

Goalies don't reach their peak until their early 30's IMO and experienced veterans will do what Hill and Derry done for us as someone said in the Championship.

                            Age is but a number

I'm livid he's getting a 2 year deal. I didn't mind the transfer as a back up for 1 season but 2 years? Not happy me
                              Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
                              And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO
