  • Djourou

Queens Park Rangers are interested in signing Johan Djourou.

The Switzerland international still has three years remaining on his contract at Arsenal, but is set to leave this summer due to a lack of first team action.

A number of clubs in Italy are thought to be interested in the 25-year-old, but Mark Hughes is hoping to persuade him to stay in the English capital.

The QPR boss is eager to add more quality to his squad ahead of next season, and he hopes to add Djourou to his back four in a £6million deal.

fansfc.com is available for purchase. Get in touch to discuss the possibilities!

Whenever I have seen him he is pony. Certainly not the "leader" type CB we need.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Smokescreen. No way we'd pay £6m for him.

I expect there have been reported talks between us and Samba, his agent and his club he wants out of to try and thrash out a deal. While we are waiting, let;s throw some ideas into the mix we're thinking of splashing big cash on a CB eslewhere to help them speed up their decision.....

I mentioned him before I personally would snap him up. Yes he has been poor out of position at right back for gunners but he is solid in his normal position. Would not entertain £6mil but if we got him for say £3mil it would be shrewd business. Not a top 4 player more then good enough for a mid table side.

Traore got similar reviews from Rangers fans when we signed him and the usual Arsenal fans would drive him here was muted but he has been one hell of a signing and miles better then any of us thought he would be.

Sometimes a club is just too big for a player and they need to find their fit

He reminds me of Karl Reddy. Capable of having the occasional good game, but was most of the time poor. £6M? I'd be concerned if QPR paid more than £600k for him.

My relatives are Arsenal fans and they think he is very poor whether he plays at CB or RB.

Out of interest what were the relatives views on the third choice left back Traore when he joined us?? My Arsenal mates were adament we had bought a dud and wet themselves laughing. Glad to say so far we are having the last laugh on that signing
