I agree, if he can reproduce the same this year as last... We are all onto a winner and not only that but he will be worth quite a bit as well.

I would love to get a little bit of change like that. Anyway, not being petty, was just pulling your over-weight chain. Have those diet pills you take got side effects that give you mood swings?

Mackie is a player who does what it says on the tin. Had we got relegated the first bids for a player to come in from PL clubs would have been for Mackie.

In the PL Mackie is one of the best players for chasing players down and lost causes, its not spectacular granted but its effective.

Its not coming on as an impact sub which makes him effective its coming on when we are playing at a high intensity which is normally when we are chasing the game. If we play at a high intensity all the time then Mackies contribution over 90 mins would improve IMO.

Have to agree and all teams need a player like him, I think he will improve under Mark Hughes and we are lucky to have him.

Who cares if he's a bit limited, he is a goalscorer who puts a lot of pressure on opposition defences...and is not just an impact sub, I think he played the whole arsenal match and played very well. I hope he'll be a regular next season

:drunk: My apologies for being the moody fat ****a, some ba$tard swapped my Rustler burgers (yes, plural) for an iceberg lettuce and a carrot in the fridge at work. Not gunna lie, I was fuming. :strive:

You may well jest, but I know of a bloke that suffers from them. Despite losing weight, there is still no pleasing him at times.

I'm the first to #### Mackie off. Have been highly critical of him but nobody could argue with the way he played second half of the season.... He's worth his weight in gold.... If he left then you coulf gurantee we would want him back for those certain games

We must all admit he surprised us last season.

Plus Mackie is much, much better playing wide right in a 4231/433. He's crap at RM in a classic 442, which is what Hughes will probably have us mostly playing next season.
Very well said. Hughes will be adding more quality and looking for players who offer better supply/service to Cisse and Zamora. Mackie will be an impact sub - and a very good one against tiring legs.

Punched way above his weight last season - will get found out this - impact sub is the best he can hope for... Happy to be proved wrong but can't see it..

two things about Mackie: he's relatively young and he has a bit of pace. We don't really do youth or speed down the bush so for those two reasons he has become significant, to the point where he's probably the best bet alongside Cisse if you go two up.
