Here at www.qpr.co.uk we take a look at the players who were involved in last season's successful fight against relegation …
Jay Bothroyd
Appearances (all competitions): 24
Goals: 2
Assists: 2
Islington-born Jay Bothroyd put pen to paper on a three-year deal at Loftus Road in July 2011.
After a successful pre-season in Italy, scoring his first goal in QPR colours against Braga, Bothroyd looked all set to form a potent partnership with fellow summer signing DJ Campbell.
However, the 30-year-old had to wait until the R's 3-1 defeat against London neighbours Tottenham Hotspur in November to notch his first Premier League goal for the Hoops.
Bothroyd's close-range header reduced the deficit to just one, before Gareth Bale hit a Spurs third to put any Rangers comeback to bed.
But as the run of testing fixtures continued, so did the goals, as Bothroyd made it two in two against an in-form Manchester City side at Loftus Road.
The former Cardiff City striker used his height advantage to latch on to the end of a well-crafted Joey Barton cross to head Rangers into an early lead.
Bothroyd was even unlucky not to be credited with a second, seeing a header - that appeared to be heading goalwards - crash off the back of Heidar Helguson at close range before finding the net.
During the latter stages of the season, and under the guidance of Mark Hughes, the England ace was often used introduced as a substitute for Bobby Zamora.
