    So...positives from Saturday?

For me I was impressed with Routledge - he tired towards the end but put in a damned good shift. You know I aint a fan of Rowlys but he too had a solid game until he went off.

BOTH Borrowdale and Ramage were excellent I thought.

Balanta clearly is worthy of a place in the team and can only improve (indeed i thought he was unlucky to get subbed).

Jim wasnt afraid to change it. I think the subs were around 10 minutes into the 2nd half?

      Buzsaky.

Not at his best yet, but a clear reminder of how good he can be. Worked his socks off too.
      Great to see him back.

Agree with all of the above! Thought every decent attacking oppertunity we had came through Routledge, esspecially first half. YES, not everything he did came off, and there were a few stray passes, but he was constantly a thorn in the side of Blackpool and was unlucky not to have a few assists to his name!

Was pleasantly suprised by Borrowdale too. A lot of negative stuff has been said about him, with many writing him off before seeing him kick a ball (myself included). He didnt put a foot wrong whatsoever, and whilst time will tell if he can continue this form, on early showings, he isnt the liability most of us thought he was.

Ramage was another player who didnt stand out...for the right reasons! A few decent crosses into the box first half, defended well, and popped up with a point saving goal, whether he meant it or not is irrelevant!

I also thought Balanta looked very lively first half too. Has quite a powerfull shot on him too which is something i didnt know he had in his locker! Rarely lost the ball, and looked to bomb forward at every oppertunity!

Rowlands was running the show before he had to go off.

Mahon was solid in the middle and had a good game. I dont feel enough people have mentioned how well he played so I felt the need to mention him!

Also whilst not a massive positive, Agyemang and Vine showed glimpses of that partnership that worked so well for GiGi!

        More positives than negatives tbh!

Two major positives, Ramage and the way Buzz bossed the game in the last 20.

Could not disagree more about Balanta, neat enough on the ball, pretty poor off it and offered very little threat, where Vine and Taarabet give us so much more from that position, late second half when vine operated out there more , we looked much more threatening. Balanta is still a good 6 months loan at a league 1 side away from being anything more than a back up squad player, certainly playing wide midfield

The crowd was good and as a result so was the atmosphere.
Didn't see Borrowdale make any mistakes,
great goal from the 'Geordie Cafu',
generally sound defence apart from Halls error for the goal
            good approach work
created loads of chances (but no end result)
Buzz looked well up for it

I'm still unsure of Borrowdal. Took his chance in the team very well and didn't put a foot wrong, but he looks like a poor mans Chris Barker. Barker was fairly solid for us, but he was very slow which affected his overall contribution. Borrowdale looks as sluggish a player I've ever seen. He seemed to take an age to get up to his full pace as his acceleration is terrible.

I'm pleased he got a chance and can give nothing but praise for the way he defended, but I fear his lack of pace could really punish us when up against the likes of James Morrison, Adam Johnson, Campbell-Ryce and Danny Haynes to name a few.

Harsh maybe, but I'm just stating a reasonable concern.

We kept saying that last season too though and in the end we 'failed' to make the play offs.

Nice new paint job in the Ellerslie toilets.

Made the 15 minute queue well worth it.
And the queues for the bars were very impressive too.

                        Well done Rangers.

Wayne Routledge was definetly NOT a positive! He was absolute crap for 70 mins of the game. Borrowdale and Ramage were the only 2 reall positives. Plus the fact that although Helguson had 4-5 chances that didnt go in, he was still in the right positions. On another day he might of scored a couple. Oh and Balanta shouldnt have been taken off!
