If we are going for Given,Green,Gordon or any other average keeper,in my opinion
we may save some money and keep Paddy.

Before anyone starts bitching,i dont think he was that bad last season considering
the back four was changing all the time and contrary to some posters did actually
    turn in some great performances,

Ask yourself this are any of the above better than Paddy Given 36 years of age maybe
past his best 3 mill no way.

Green prone to drop the odd clanger no better than Paddy and silly wages.

Gordon just no why would Sunderland just let him go??

If we are to shell out real money i only see one keeper Foster,Foster,Foster.

Not sure you can call Given "average", he was ranked as one of the v best keepers in the prem a couple of years ago. Green has his critics but has been an England international. Agree about Gordon though and also wd much prefer Foster. However, I just think we have to back the judgement of Hughes - he clearly doesn't rate Kenny who has been told he is not wanted. If you are a Kenny fan I'm afraid from your perspective the argument has been lost.

Given has just had one average game on the back of an injury lay off and was, I believe, playing less than 100% fit? Add that to the fact the defensive line in front of him is average, at best, (no offence to our Irish posters) but we would all be a bit deflated if they were the R's defence?
A week or two ago, plenty of posters were raving at the idea of signing Given who, at 36 isn't even in his prime for a goalkeeper based on historical evidence, and he is one of the very best keepers in the EPL. If we get to sign him he will prove to be a Rangers legend and is a million miles better than PK, who has been a decent servant, even in the PL, but not top class - Given is top class.
Why is it so many people's views have changed on the back of one Euro game where the circumstances were a bigger factor than Given's ability?

Sorry i am a Kenny fan and have not come to this conclusion on one performance Given is 36,
we are supposed to be moving forward, 3 mill no way sooner keep PADDY,Given is not the
future,if muted fees are true 5 mill for Foster is more progresive than 3 mill for Given.

Could save the money and try to bring a top class centreback as that is what we really need.

1 average game for Ireland and all of a sudden given is "average"? Farking hell.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Decent goalie who is not fully fit and had a poor game for Ireland, but at €3 million he would represent very poor value considering his age

Cheaper to keep Cerny and he is no worse than Kenny at the end of the day, just give him some game time and he will prove it (again).
Banning people is no longer my hobby,
but take a look at my photo blog:

How and why did I start supporting QPR in Estonia:

Over the last 3 weeks all ive heard in the build up to euro12 is all the different niggles that Given has had or is carrying,at 36 to me thats a concern, even more so if he's going to cost 3-4m. Id swerve him and go Foster,Green,Robinson
