DJ set for showdown talks over QPR future

DJ CAMPBELL is set for showdown talks at QPR to find out whether he has a future with the club.

The striker suffered a series of injuries during the last campaign that relegated him to a mere two starts and nine sub appearances since joining in summer 2011.

i really rated him as a player but for some reason Neil warnock and Mark hughes didnt, I know he was injured a lot of the time but there was time I felt he was needed when he was fit and he's rarely played.

I dont think he got any future at the club truth to be told

Whenever he played he looked very good imo, he even scored against Wolves earlier in the season I think and got into very good goalscoring positions in other matches but was unlucky not to score them. His injury was the reason he didn't play as much as he would have liked. I for one hope he'll be given another chance. He's a very good striker and goalscorer, and one that is a life-long fan of this club aswell.

Give him a chance and move Bothroyd on. Don't understand why we would bring in Andy Johnson and get rid of DJ - difference in wages would be a joke.

Sorry ...but the last time I saw DJ in a rangers shirt was MK Dons away and he looked ....s hite and not really bothered !!!!

I admit not many shrouded themselves in glory that day but for me we need to be looking at better quality forwards .

Also I don't buy into this sentiment that he's a Rangers fan ...so he cares ' a bit more' and he'll try ' a bit harder ' . We can't have 'not quite good enough players' still trying to live the dream at LR if we really are trying to move up to the next level . ......

Might sound a tad harsh to the purists among you but I've been supporting my beloved Hoops for 38 years now and I want to see us splashing the cash on the best possible calibre of player we can get !!!

Probably off to Swansea if Olly's going there. Agree with above that I really rated him before he signed. He scored 13 for Blackpool and thats very impressive with the squad they had - but too many injuries has prevented him to show himself worthy of wearing the rangers shirt and I think it's too late for him, sadly.

he may have had his limititations but no-one, and i mean no-one could aimlessly hook a football over their own head to nobody in particular with quite the same panache as our birchy
