We are a growing football club that will only get bigger, but to build a club you need facilities which we haven't got at Loftus Road, it is a terrible stadium.
We are in a prime position mate, trust me.
Forget the old QPR lot from the 90s, we have to move forward and create a new fan base which we are doing :-)

But its like when people talk about us in the 1990s when we had sinton, ferdinand, sinclar etc... those days a long gone, you have to move on from that, its ok talking about how great we were back then but times have moved on and the average youngster had never heard of QPR! Thats why we are reinventing the brand to move along with the times.
Football has changed with the rest of the world, which was always our biggest problem because we got left behind in the last 15 years. If you don't move onwards and upwards you won't progress.
Loftus Road has no facilities, thats a fact, it is the worst stadium in the most valuable area. The board has good vision as to seeing how to generate revenue on the side of football with a new staium with facilities.
This season I have met lots of new people that have only just starting to come to QPR which is likely the fact of the Premiersip status. We are building the club and I honestly believe it will get even bigger.
They have done the right thing in purchasing and creating a new state of the art training facilities as that willa ttract better players plus we will have the bonus of youth/acadamy facilities.
The next article on the agenda is a new state of the art stadium that will build the club even stronger, and we are attracting new fans all the time.
It will take time, but we will get there in say 5 years.

The earlier mention of the Amex in Brighton is a fantastic example of the way forward....22500k capacity to start and plenty of scope to add seating as interest grows. Our 'core' support....or 'the old QPR lot' as described earlier....will always mean a cracking atmosphere.....
another 500 seats will be added in December and upon completion by the start of the 13/14 season they will have a capacity of 30,750.
(Already they have held the Fatboy Slim gig (only last weekend) and have a license for two such events per year so they too are looking at other ways to make money, they will be showing England's Euro games on a big screen a £10 a go aswell).
Definately the way forward as you say but i feel we want to be able to increase beyond that if needed. Time Tony started taking notice of what other clubs are doing and act on it before it's too late.Last edited by 80sCasual; 08-06-2012, 10:20 PM.Queens Park RangersNPower Champions 2010/2011

Don't reckon premiership automatically equals big gates.
Chelsea's attendances initially rocketed and led to ground expansion and now search for 60k stadium because of big stars joining such as Zola which subsequently led to success and then big attendances become self generating. Until QPR make massive signings (which we may not) I don't think our attendances will remarkably increase, at the end of the day lapsed fans or newbies aren't going to come to us because we have nice seats and to see DJ or Bobby.
The fact that some posters master plan is that the polish will fill the seats is hard to fathom. For sustainability you need regular punters and even from this forum which is generally hardcore fans only I would guess 30% at most users regularly go to games so how some polish geezer is suddenly going to be a St holder because he has a comfy chair is not really a great marketing plan.

Some really good points made on this thread , i would love to know more about the plans the board have for the club as to attract hughes it must be ambitious. (anyone with any info let me know!!) I truly believe qpr is the club it is due to the long term fans, generations of father sons daughter etc. we must not make the mistake of upsetting the loyal supporters for the sake of the johhny come latelys. I for one have noticed lots of new faces this season gone and some of them are a different type of supporter to who i first saw around me in the early 90s neither vocal or passionate and im in the r block
