  • Beard reaffirms transfer policy (Official site)

"QPR CEO Philip Beard has reaffirmed the Club's stance on announcing player transfers, insisting that deals will only be confirmed when they are contractually complete.

Media sources have linked the R's to a number of potential targets in recent weeks, as the countdown to next year's Barclays Premier League campaign begins to gather pace.

Beard, however, insists that transfers will only be announced through the Club's official media channels when they are 100 per-cent complete."

Looking at this, I'm guessing the Diakite deal is 99% done after what a lot of people have been saying. He probably just needs to sign a few things before he can be officially announced as our player.

This also means it'll probably take AGES for other signings to appear on the official, I can't wait that long so I'll just be checking Sky Sports lol.

Fair play. They probably get fed up with thousands of queries daily about stuff like this.

Obviously it used to get leaked out to the boards before it was officially announced, but it seems that happens less these days....

Perhaps it's just my imagination but the club seem to emphasise this point every time they're on the verge of completing a signing.

In which case it's code for "Diakite's in the bag but we can't announce it til 1st July"

I thought the transfer window was open, am I wrong?
                        Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
                        And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

I know, you're right, but it was just the frustration of thinking they were coming and then it not happening. There seemed to be a lot more ITK stuff leaking out back then than there is now and sometimes it's easier not to know.
