Barton punched in face in nightclub row
Joey Barton has been involved in a fracas outside a nightclub in Liverpool.
The controversial QPR midfielder was punched in the face in a fight with two men outside Garlands nightclub in the city centre.
A picture of the incident, apparently showing a shirtless Barton being held back by police and a woman, appeared on Twitter.

Sorry I can't come to your birthday QPR fans expect me to be in bed by 10pm, with a mug of coco. Attacked and fighting are two different things.

So let's get this straight joey goes out to a club like normal footballers do when it is off season. He then gets attacked leaving the night club and now he is a bad guy come on some of you lot are a joke to be honest I will probably get slating for saying that but it's true. He has done nothing wrong here so why are people saying thug an all this when he has done nothing at all ?

The sooner the QPR board anounce his departure the better for everyone. No doubt there will be the usual Barton fan club apologists on here, but he is now surely beyond indefensible!

Its just about using the brain - for those that have them.

Why go to a Liverpool nightclub at that time of the morning? How was that ever going to end peacefully?
